Herbion Cough Lozenges are made with combination of medicinal herbs’ extracts that help relieve cough, sore throat and nasal congestion. Our candy-like cough lozenges are available in a variety of good-tasting natural flavours

Directions and dosage:  

  • Adults and children over 12 years of age dissolve 1-2 lozenges slowly in mouth every 2 to 3 hours. 
  • 8 lozenges per day. 

Duration of use:  

  • For prolonged use, consult a health care practitioner.  

Medicinal ingredients:  

Each lozenge contains:  

  • Menthol 
  • Eucalyptus Oil  
  • Adhatoda Vasica 
  • Piper Longum  
  • Hyssopus Officinalis  
  • Alpinia Galanga 
  • Glycyrrhiza Glabra  

Non-medicinal ingredients: 

  • Cane Sugar 
  • Ascorbic Acid 
  • Spearmint (in honey-lemon and mint flavours) 
  • Citric Acid 
  • Natural Flavour (Honey-lemon/Orange/Mint) 
  • Water 

Cautions and warnings: 

  • If symptoms are severe or persist for more than two days, consult a doctor. 
  • If cough worsens, persists for more than 7 days or is accompanied by high fever, consult a doctor. 
  • Diabetic patients should not use cough lozenge without the advice of the physician and they should monitor glucose level closely while taking cough lozenge as it may alter blood-glucose levels. 
  • Consult a physician before use if you have chronic cough as occur in asthma, bronchitis, or emphysema. 
  • Consult a physician before use if you have cough associated with severe congestion & increased phlegm. 
  • Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you are breastfeeding, if you have anemia, gallstones, hiatus hernia or gastroesophageal reflux, liver disorder, inflammatory disease of bile duct or gastrointestinal tract. 

Contra-indications:  

  • Do not use if you are pregnant, taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance.  
  • Do not use if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or a kidney or cardiovascular disorder. 

Known Adverse Reactions:  

  • Hypersensitivity such as allergy has been known to occur, in which case, discontinue use. Some people may experience gastroesophageal reflux.
